Why can't I get him out of my head? How can I get him out of my head? Help please.?
Well, as the question states, I can't get him out of my head. It's a long story, but he was my first love - first boyfriend - call it what you will, but he was the first person I ever loved. We were childhood sweethearts and together for little over a year. He was a few years older than me and because of that we met at band practice which took place in the evenings. The truth it, the first time I noticed him was when i heard him play the piano - it was so beautiful that I think it's what actually first made me like him. Eventually, i grew to like who he was, and not long after fell in love with him. Anyway, we started seeing each other, however HIS father disapproved. You see, he came from a VERY strict Chinese family, and because I wasn't Chinese his father didn't want him seeing me. His mother was fine with me and would often say Hello and ask how I was doing, but his father was a nightmare. At first he just told his son he wasn't allowed to see me, but when he didn't listen he started to pick him up outside the gates right after school and even stopped him from going to band practice. It got worse than this since he sort of like 'grounded' him if he knew he was going out to see me. Well, after of a year of fighting with this I couldn't take it anymore - it was like over a month since I had last seen him. It hurt so much not seeing him that I just grew so angry that I never wanted to see him again, so I broke up with him, not because I no longer loved him, but because I loved him so much and it hurt not seeing him. We parted ways and it's been 6 years since then. I have a new boyfriends now, one I've been with for 4 years. I love him and we're really happy together. He basically worships the ground I walk out and I can do no wrong in his eyes (<3). The idea is, that I am really happy with this guy and couldn't ask for more. But not long ago, when packing up my room (moved to Uni) I came across a tiny dust covered box. When I opened the box I found loads of hand written letters - the letters my ex wrote to me during our year together when he was away or when we couldn't see each other. There is something like 10 letters in there, all pages long, signed with his name and the date, as well as email snippets and pictures of him that I cut out. I told my boyfriend that if he wanted me to I would get rid of them all, but he told me to keep them since they meant a lot to me. The problem is, ever since i found that little box and read those letters I just can't get him out of my head. I keep thinking of him and it's making me feel guilty because I love my boyfriend. I even did something stupid and sent him an email, asking how he was doing at Uni and how life was. He replied, seemed pretty happy and told me how things were going. That was the extent of our conversation, but it made me happy that he didn't seem to hold any resentment towards me. Yet still, i don't know why I can't get him out of my head. I am perfectly happy with my boyfriend, and I don't know why I keep thinking of my ex. I keep thinking it's guilt that I left him, or because I never stopped loving him, or I don't know.... I just _can't_ forget him, and since finding that stupid little box I keep thinking of him. I mean, over the years he would pop up in my mind, especially if we bumped into each other or I heard someone play the song he used to play for me (In un'altra vita by Ludovico Einaudi - he would play it for me over and over again cause I loved it). But now, for so long, he's been in my mind. Why is he in my head? How can I get him out? What should I do? I'm so confused and it's messing me up a little. I am so happy with my boyfriend, I love and cherish him so much and I can't understand _why_ I keep thinking of someone else. Thanks.

What is the best book to buy to teach my 10 year old son to play the piano?
We have been given a piano by a friend who no longer wanted it and I wanted to start my 10 year old son off playing it with some teach yourself type books before diving in with full lessons. I can play a little and read music so I would work through the books with him, I don't mean throw a book at him and leave him to it :-) What is the best "teach yourself" book out there? THanks Lauren
