How do I play piano like a pro?
I've learned all my chords and know some basic progressions. I can read music, but that doesn't really help in my case. I want to learn to play the rhythms and accompaniments to pop/rock songs as heard on the radio--not necessarily as written. What I want to do I learn to play piano/keyboard as an accompanying instrument while I sing the melody. After a person has learned chords and progressions, how/where do they learn to play accompaniment patterns? I do not want to play solo piano, although that is what my teachers are training me in. It seems no one teaches this and I haven't had much luck in finding out how piano players accompany themselves like guitarists do.

Im learning to play piano/keyboard. Whats my next step?
I can read music, I can play scales (but only have C, F and G memorized). I can play Fur Elise (the entire song, not just the intro) but not many other songs (It took me almost a month to master FurElise). I am self-taught (I began on Jan 1.) I can play melodys of most simple songs and am working on improving my left hand by playing treble with my left. What should I work on next (other than the scales and chords, I already know that). Can you suggest and intermediate songs to test what level I really am? I think I am a B or a C (Level 2 or 3). I want to work a little more on my own before I hire a coach...
